Thanks again everyone. Definitely not intending to hide any income or fudge any figures. I think I just wanted to be a bit clearer on everything because if I started earning £400/500 per month it doesn't mean I would actually have all of that £400/500 because I would then be responsible for paying my way. It's just a horrible situation to be in, but I do hope the thread helps others too that might be looking for similar advice and I appreciate the time everyone has taken to respond!
