New build discounts in north London

I see this topic pop up occasionally but most are about new builds outside London. Are discounts harder to get negotiate with new builds in London? Particularly in popular North London suburbs like Colindale/Barnet/Mill Hill/Finchley?

I wouldn't count Colindale as popular.  People don't tend to choose to live there they live there because it is cheap.
  • I’m not sure but we are looking to purchase a flat in London and it seems everyone offers over rather than under I wouldn’t bank on negotiating a price unless the survey comes bad which with a new build it probably won’t

Why is it so much cheaper?   It seems like a nicer area now than what it used to be.
