Where did my debt go?

My mastercard was recently renewed by my bank and it was 7500 in debt. When I went to my online banking the 7500 debt had disappeared? Where did it go?

Maybe you should ask the bank?

When you say renewed - do you mean because the previous card had expired, and it came of its own accord - or you'd requested a new card for a particular reason such as an incidence of fraud?0

I had to request a new card because my bank sent it to an old address and could not be found.0

It might be that they've transferred the debt to the new card but not updated it in your app for whatever reason then - have you spoken to them? (The debt won't magically disappear by the way - and if you happen to fail to pay - you might end up with all kinds of problems - and the excuse 'well the app said I owed nothing' - won't wash!)0

I know that but I am not in UK at the moment and no one seems to want to deal with me. I tried asking my bank for a loan to pay off the card but they said I wasnt eligible. I thought someone would know how I can manage my card even though I am not resident in UK at the moment.

Online banking springs to mind, all you need is the banks IBAN number, should be clearly displayed, you can pay from anywhere with an internet connection.
Assuming you have told your credit card company about the move abroad, there could be any number of reasons why your balance has vanished, the most likely reason being they have sold your debt to someone else, or there has been an error of some kind, whatever the reason why, we can only speculate, the only way to find out for sure is to contact them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
