Denying !!!!!! sites

There is no way of 100% stopping access to !!!!!! sites. You can by filtering software, but it so easy to shut them down or alter them I never think they are that good.
We have got an almost perfect system now. Unfortunately it is not free, but I thought I would still post it here as personally I think blocking access to these sites is worth paying for if it is good.
We use Zen internet for our broadband (excellent service, but perhaps not the cheapest) - http://www.zen.co.uk/ . They have an option to filter sites at their end. They use a company called N2H2 - http://www.n2h2.com/ which filters sites on the ISP end. There are 3 filtering options which range from just filtering out !!!!!! and illegal sites to one that filters many things. The main filtering site for zen is on http://home.zen.co.uk/products/body_products.asp?ProdId=14899 The 3 levels of filtering are on http://www.zensupport.co.uk/knowledgebase/article.aspx?id=10039
At the moment it costs £2.50 for single user per month. This might sound like a lot, but it's not that bad for what you get.
The way it works is for you to use a proxy server (they give you the address) so that all your web serfing is filtered. Of course the way round this is to take that off and you have unfiltered access- quite easy if you know how, but most will not. However we wanted a system that couldn't be broken. If you get your broadband from a router (like on a network), you can block all traffic too and from port 80 (which is the normal internet port), however the proxy server uses a different port. This means that you can always block !!!!!! sites whether you have this clicked or not (if you unclick it you won't have internet access at all)
This sounds quite complicated, but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. We use a Netgear DG834G wireless router for our network which is easilly configurable. You can block extra sites using keywords and then finally block access to these settings using a password. The only way would be to reset the router and lose everything.
I know this all probably sounds expensive, but if you are serious about blocking it out- this is the best way we've found, and we have been looking around for many years.
I agree with an earlier post that said "when there is a will there is a way"- it's not just children that are vunrable to !!!!!!, adults can get addicted and so there will always be a will to get access to !!!!!!. However I think this will work, and I can't see a way of stopping it.Moneysaving since 2004!0
