PIP Review Form

I completed my Award Review form with the help from an advisor from Citizens Advice. The deadline was 17th June and she posted it week ending 13th June. DWP says the form was not received in time and they are stopping my payments. I’m currently on hold ( over an hour) to speak to someone. What will happen now? My PIP was approved up to June 2022.

I would hope that common sense will prevail and they will continue your existing award. Are DWP aware form has been posted back - or is that what you on hold to tell them. You will need to wait and see what they say. If they do stop payments CA should be able to help you write a letter to try and get them reinstated.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

It was posted rather late if the deadline was 17th June. Do you have proof that you posted it?

UPDATE!
I finally got to speak to someone who confirmed receipt and told me that they are experiencing delays in uploading the forms to the system. They had in fact got it within the timeframe but had only loaded to their system today. They have restored my payments ( relief!) meantime while my Award Review goes through the normal assessment.

Glad it’s sorted. Baffles me why when they know they are having processing delays they don’t automatically add some time on at their end.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

They used to automatically add a week on to the deadline date as it can take up to a week to be registered on the system after being received at Wolverhampton. In fact they probably still do allow a week (which would extend the deadline in this case to 24/06 with the cancellation of claim letter being produced soon afterwards) but they should perhaps allow another week with all the delays that there are at present.calcotti said:Glad it’s sorted. The cancellation letter was dated 25 June and received by me today, 2 July. It took over an hour to be connected to a call handler but I was glad I stuck it out. Very stressful.Robbie64 said:

Good to hear you got it all sorted. The worst nightmare would have been if you had received the cancellation letter tomorrow (Saturday), meaning you would have had to wait until Monday to be able to phone the PIP helpline.jintyb said:
