Yes, can you please elaborate. OH has just come home with four packs of B&Q Aqualoq and some underlay which he is fitting himself (not tonight mind!) - if you've got any tips.....

I can reccommend Karndean flooring. Its a bit pricely but beautiful when its laid. They do lots of different shades, styles etc. I had it down in September and its fantastic.0

Hi
thanks to all for your opinions. Let me know how you go on with the aqualoc from B and q. We originally bought morrocan stone for kitchen and when dad tried knocking tog it just kept chipping. I had chosen this also for my shower room and just wondered if the kitchen lot was just a dodgey batch? B and q were great and refunded on the whole lot (even the 3 packs dad had opened! He tried doing it a couple of times and the same thing kept happening!).
I would consider vinyl but the thing that really bugs me is that i cant seem to get hold of samples to try at home (apart from if you want to spend about £25 per m!!). I am looking for a white tile effect so if anyone comes across one then please let me know!
Plus getting a quote tom for fitting...Dad bless him has laminated the huge kitchen, plus downstairs loo and hall so thought i would try and give him a break (plus going round a corner bath and toilet will be nightmare)0 -
Can you expand on that mate, what was wrong with the way it was fitted to make it lift?!?!? Hope mine doesn't do the same....

The people that layed it didn't ensure it cliked together properly & left some small gaps, letting water get into it & seperate the laminate coating.

Right, will make sure he gives it a good hard thump then.
Thanks

We have just put some vinyl in our bathroom. It looks just like plank effect laminate and I am really pleased with it. We got it from a local shop but I saw something very similar, and much cheaper, in Allied Carpets.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
