Used car: dealer or warranty fix?

Hi I had a used car delivered 2 days ago  2016 Peugeot, £9k
There are a couple of small things, it had a few large scratches they’d tried to buff out but didn’t mention (like 10cm) & a quiet, but odd noise in the engine, I rang the dealer & he said book it in locally then call the (gold) warranty to get the repair authorised, so I’ve booked it in my local garage next week.

Yesterday I connected my phone to the car audio & the computer screen turns off constantly; making it impossible to answer the phone, music turns off every 5 mins or so.  I read there is an incompatibility with the car & iPhone XRs.

Any advice?  I could just change my phone, but that’s not a cheap option either.
