Same energy used, wildly different bill, general Symbio/app confusion
Hello,
I'm trying to wrap my head around Symbio and its app.
The first odd thing is when viewing the meter readings, it's showing the months in reverse? I think?
As you can see below, it starts with August highlighted, but the previous months are September, October etc. Assuming the July on the far-left is the current July, how have they filled this out since it's only July 1st right now and I'm on a smart meter so there shouldn't be any estimating going on?
Also, June and April have precisely the same energy usage, but April's bill was £52.97 and June's bill was £91.77. Why are the prices so different from two identical usage months? Has there been a price hike?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, I really don't understand what's happening or why.

You have obviously failed to get your head round Symbio's perverse fairytale billing system. The energy usage for the month is their (inflated) estimate of what you are going to use and bears no relationship with reality. The £ is the cost of that predicted energy use less the amount they over estimated the previous month. There is a Symbio thread here with lots of discussion on the subject.

Symbio bill customers a month in advance so there is always estimating going on! This also explains why two months with the same usage can have different bills, all bills are estimated.Reed0

I would delete the app. No information is better than wrong information.
You have to remember that Symbio are utterly incompetent but they do sell remarkably cheap electricity.1 -
But not as cheap as the stuff they were giving away a year or so agoTallerdave said:I would delete the app. No information is better than wrong information.

Mhmm, not complaining about the price, just find the app utterly baffling in how badly designed and lacking in information it is.Tallerdave said:I would delete the app. No information is better than wrong information.
