private lateral flow through gov.uk site for uk return

goin to ibiza on mon and need the lateral flow test for return. we've booked with chromonics and should have been dispatched today, but havnt so now the wife is panicking.

friend flew back from Portugal 4 weeks ago and used private innova lateral flow test via gov.uk site to show at the departure gate as a text and boarded.

he's some of these tests for me, question is can u do this or was he just lucky?

I assume the 'lateral flow packages' are like the company's that wld do you a E111 form for £20 when they were free. some of the lateral flow sites want £45 for a 'certificate' yet you can buy 5 tests for £25 from private testing sites

You need a PCR test from a Govt approved Private testing company on DAY2 return from Green Countries. Lateral Flow won't suffice....... The Booking Reference needs to be added to your Passenger Locator Form when you arrive back in the UK or you won't get in. Good luck.

Before returning to UK ,  will need to take a test that has a certificate to show the negative result and it has to  meet these requirements listed on gov.uk website :

You will need this to board the flight and to get through Border Control in UK.

If your tests don’t arrive before you leave - you will likely find that you can pay for a test at the airport in Ibiza before you return. Have a look on their website.

thanks, this is all sorted - its the lateral flow one for boarding the plane we need to sort out

cheers - I can't see on the site where it says it needs to be a certificate? it says a email, text etc - and the gov.uk upload a covid test supplies a text and email to ur phone to say ur test is negative.

the innova test meets the criteria listed on the gov website.

OP yes you are correct- certificate was a poor choice of word - test results would have been better  -

What I was trying to say is you can’t just turn up with a used LF test and show it to them - you need the official test results which as you say can be on your phone / e-mail as long as they meet the criteria set out in the link. 

Glad you’ve found a supplier that meets the criteria. There are lots available. 

Although no requirement to have a hard copy of the test results- it might be a good idea to have a printed copy to show as you need to provide them before checking into your flight and again at the UK Border - some reports of people’s phones going flat in the long queues at airports and not being able to show the test results, causing further delays whilst they wait to recharge their phone .

Sorry to jump on this but I'm really confused on the pre departure test. When you go to the websites, they seem to offer a day 2 test but not the pre departure test.  I found one that seemed to offer a video consultation to have the lateral flow test in front of them. 

Can you just buy a lateral flow test from an approved supplier and then enter the details to get the certificate which will get you through customs. I am going to Malta so at the moment, paper vscination certificate proof and uk green testing certificates are all I need.
