Thanks, so unfortunately due to the way the windows are I can't put in the spring loaded rods with Voile.

Which seems like it only leaves me the option of frosted privacy stickers on, or my idea of perspex.

I don't want to get rid of my Venetian blinds as I really like them :)

I've always hated those rods. I lived in a rental where it just never stayed up.

I use curtains wire with little hooks screwed into the ends. I then installed metal loops into either side of the frame. Took about 3 minutes to install the panel. You can then just unhook and remove the panel when not in use.

Ah yeah I could do that. The window frame is pvc but I'm sure if could take a little plastic hook. Maybe that's the best idea

I drilled into the wooden frame around the pvc window in mine. You can also get sticky back hooks.

Or you could even get these removable ones.

Yes I used these to hold a telescopic rod on pvc window frames here to avoid drilling

I got a window film that was striped.  Easy to fit, lets in the light and still allows you to look out whilst maintaining privacy from the outside.  Like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384161726809
