PIP status unknown after assessment

Hi,
I had my assessment with Capita two weeks ago. I phoned DWP today to request a copy of the report. They said they haven’t yet received it and that I should speak to Capita as they are normally received back at DWP within 3-4 working days. DWP suggested it may have been called for audit within Capita and this could be the reason for the delay.
DWP put me through directly to Capita. They confirmed their system said my case had been ‘closed’ by the assessor but they didn’t have the report. I asked if more medical evidence had been requested and he said no, it wouldn’t show on the system as ‘closed’ if it had. It hadn’t been called for audit either. The only thing he could do was refer it to his manager to look into it and I have to call back next week.
Does anyone know what this could mean please?

Paperwork at Capita may have been misfiled, or still sitting on somebody's desk. Information could have been sent back to DWP and the same thing happened. All you can do is wait for the call and try not to worry in the meantime. If you are already in receipt of PIP payment will continue as normal.

I have the same problem but with a work capability assessment report. My daughters telephone assessment took place last Friday. DWP say it's not yet been returned and the health assessment advisory service are saying it was returned on 25th June and her case is now closed...

I guess this means that it has been issued by the assessor but not yet logged on DWP system. I don't know how the reports are returned and received at DWP.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

I left another note on my daughters journal to ask her work coach if she would please chase it up. 40 minutes later she replied and said she was mistaken and it's been returned but just waiting on the case manager to upload the decision onto her journal.OP maybe it really has been returned to DWP and it's either not showing on the computer or the person you spoke to made a mistake.1

Thanks for your replies. I have spoken to Capita today and they have advised they are going through further information received from my GP and Consultant and this is the reason for the delay. That’s a little different to what I was told yesterday i.e. ‘case closed’………
This suggests they do sometimes request further info to check things out. Which is good as I have told them things as they are with no exaggeration! But supplied GP information regarding diagnoses and medication (actual print outs received from the practice) and my latest Consultant reports with my application. Capita said the reports they are now considering were requested prior to my assessment but they have come in since, hence the delay. I was advised to ring back in 3 working days to check the status.
However, I just rang my surgery and they confirmed NO requests for data or reports have been received from DWP or Capita! I’ve not managed to get hold of my consultants secretary yet but I am now sceptical about what Capita have told me, even though they have been very courteous and helpful on my calls to the.So the wait continues ….0
