Current best 3 year fixed rate savings account is 1.81% and for a 3 year ISA - 1.15%
...makes you wonder why anybody would want to invest in green bonds?

Thank goodness, the government should not be paying anymore than it needs to borrow money. What’s current rate for gilts?

For a 3-year fixed bond! Good grief, they won't raise much money with that rate. What a let down after so much fanfare!

Putting the planet before profit.  You do wonder when investors select ESG investments. How they will still put the maximum return before investing in socially beneficial stocks.

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

This is going to be a flop, like the emergency visa scheme. Very few people will be bothered.

There must be better ways of supporting green initiatives for those with money to spare.
But most people with money to spare won't bother. This is easy. Take the hit.
