Travel to USA

Hi All,
So I'm meant to be heading to the US for holidays this year and have already moved it once for a cost to the tail end of the summer owing to the USA restrictions. I actually booked this well over a year ago with Loveholidays. Anyway, I've seen various reports suggesting the proclamation may stay in place for the summer and with this in mind have been considering my options for this booking where hopefully I don't lose any more money. My insurer has said they don't cover government policies as a reason for the travel being cancelled. Loveholidays are just an absolute scam artist as I've begun to notice, especially since both the airline and accommodation are offering no-questions-asked refunds due to the ongoing situation. Loveholidays have said they will take a £1200 "admin fee" if I cancel! Since flights can still technically happen between the UK and US for exempt passengers, I foresee they won't be cancelled meaning that as far as LH are concerned the holiday can still happen even though it legally can't. Has anybody else had this, and any ideas on how to protect myself?
Thanks,
James

Many airlines are offering very flexible conditions to move travel but I am not aware of airlines to the US offering a 'no-questions-asked refund'.
The £1200 sounds like it could be the full cost of the flights - based upon you cancelling and no refund being given.1 -
You might be right with the admin fee being the flight cost - however at the time when I first moved it my booking was one of the eligible ones to be refunded as I'd booked so far in advance (the booking had to have been made between certain dates, and flying between other certain dates). It was with United. However as LH have now since changed my flight again (different route), I doubt my flight would fall into that category anymore. I've just been on chat to them and they've assured me that if borders are closed I'd get a refund. I guess we shall see what happens!0
