Exchange of EU to UK licence

I am permanently living in the UK after living in Europe, where I exchanged my UK licence to an EU driving licence (required by law after Brexit). A couple of months ago, I returned my EU licence to the DVLA so that it can be exchanged for a UK licence (I passed my driving test in 1985). I have the details of my original UK licence number. I am trying to contact the DVLA to ask when I can expect the licence exchange to take place so that I can plan ahead since I am currently unable to drive, which creates some restrictions! Has anyone tried to contact the DVLA?  The only number I have found is invalid (0844 453 0118). Any help appreciated.

DVLA are still massively backlogged for postal applications from last year, compounded by industrial action over their covid workspace precautions. It'll be sat in that queue...

Thanks AdrianC.  I was not aware of the industrial action.  Slight anxiety about the valid EU licence being lost in the system since there was no online reference number on the forms to authorise the transfer but the rules had only recently been applied due to Brexit, so I shall be patient and hope for the best!  Thanks again.
