Can someone advise me in simple terms please
Looking to book a holiday for Oct 2022 - IF this doesnt go ahead because USA dont allow us in or Scotland dont allow travel to - what are my rights, if the holiday is booked during the covid pandemic ? are you entitled to a refund rather than an alternative date - we already did the alternative date and have had to pay a lot more for the holiday so quite sure if this happens again itll be even more expensive and a line had to be drawn somewhere so
if i book during covid do you loose all rights to a refund IF the advice is NOT to travel yet the country you are going to is open for travel
Also what insurance companies cover for covid now - if someone tests positive in the group and travel cannot happen
Many thanks and sorry for the probably answered a million times questions x

The main determining factor is the sort of holiday you've booked - ie a package or individual components.1

The chap was very helpful but could not answer what happens if Scotland say NO you cant travel yet the USA say welcome if you booked the holiday after covid became a thing
Im just unsure whether to cancel the whole thing and wait and see but then run the risk of loosing our deposit and potentially paying double the price when the green light goes and everyone wants away
So confusing - whatever happened to just booking a holiday and getting on a plane0
