Pet Plan Insurance RIP OFF

I have two house cat aged 15 months both boys Pet Plan have HIKED my insurance costs to £879 for both of them which is ABSURD.
They claim it's because of advances in vet technology and also my post code that are the reasons for the rate which the man I spoke to said he understood where I was coming from.He also said they are a for profit company.....no kidding really!!!!
A friend who has a cat 6 months older lives in a more affluent area of London where vets fees are no doubt higher pays a heck of a lot LESS.....Please explain HOW!!is vets technological advances really to remain in the stone age.
Does any other company offer similar cover to Pet scam that also pays the vet direct?
Bought by many seems excellent, but you have to pay the vet first and claim the money back.
Isn't insurance supposed to be there to take away that kind of stress.??

Pet Plan has always been expensive but remember that they don't consider your claims history in their pricing and so if you are unlucky and your cats get diabetes or cancer etc you can be confident that it wont result in the premiums going up further (age is still a rating factor).
You may find a much cheaper insurance but they could leapfrog Pet Plan in price if a claim for a chronic condition is made and once you have that diagnosis you are either stuck with that insurer or have to accept no cover for that chronic condition.0 -

In the past, vets would be quite to terminate the life if was not cost effective. However, increasingly nowadays they will look to get the person to claim on their insurance which increases the costs.Isn't insurance supposed to be there to take away that kind of stress.??You will get cheaper but don't expect it to remain that way.

Using CAPITALS to make a point doesn't really help.
If you no longer fit their ideal risk profile, your premium will increase - it's the same with all insurance products. No need for all the drama.
If you don't like them just move - I've been Petplan for years and they've always been great.1
