What to do with savings..

Hi, I have £2.5k sat in a TSB savings account doing 'very little'.. I might add £100 or so every month or other month. Can anyone suggest something/somewhere I can get more from it? Thanks.

The Virgin Money M Plus current account is paying 2% on up to £1000. Apparently you can open multiple accounts too

Although OP doesn't disclose anything about their financial circumstances or their objectives/timescales for this money, the clear implication is that they haven't accumulated anything like enough savings to be able to consider investment as a viable alternative....

A starting fund and £100 a month isn't a bad thing for a S&S ISA provided it's either invested well by OP or an IFA depending on their knowledge

As above with no information on the OPs financial circumstances the most sensible thing (for the time being at least until new information is provided) would be to trust their thread title and assume investing may not be suitable.

I would also suggest seeing an IFA for £100 per month investment is unlikely to be cost effective.

Lloyds/BOS account would pay a decent rate on up to £5k
