Breach of lease by joint freeholder

I hope someone may be able to help! Apologies if this is not a suitable thread to post this on. We own the ground floor flat in an Edwardian house which has been converted into three flats. The new owners of the first floor flat moved in and have relocated the kitchen from one area into what is the lounge to make it into a kitchen/lounge area and added an additional en-suite in the master bedroom. They have also blocked in a window by putting a wall down the middle of it. When the new owners purchased the flat we warned them that there was not any decent soundproofing and said we were willing to split the cost of this.They didn’t want to do this but did end up getting their builders to put an extra layer of plasterboard on their floor and then laminate flooring on top which has made the impact noise even worse. They are now asking us for retrospective consent for the works that they have done which have impacted us with the dreadful lack of soundproofing and also affected the second floor flats water supply since the new en-suite has been installed and kitchen being moved into a different area of the flat. We are now looking at getting legal advice on our rights with regard to the breach of lease but wondered if anyone else had come against anything like this? Any help or advice would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks for your advice. Unfortunately they couldn’t help us on this so we’re having to hire a solicitor. Just wondered if anyone had dealt with this type of issue and what the outcome was.0
