Tree surgery quote check

MrManager

I recently bought a place which has 9 ash trees in the garden, some of them quite big (20m?). Since they block a lot of the light I talked to a tree surgeon about removing some branches from all of them to let through more light, cutting off dead wood,
and completely cutting down a small (5m?) tree that seems to be dying.
He quoted me 1200 GBP all included. Is that a reasonable price? It seems like a lot of money to me but I never had to deal with these things before. This is in the South but not London.

I paid £340 to have 2 trees felled, no stump removal, taller than my 3 storey building. Took the guys a morning to cut and shred them.
If you think it's expensive, get other quotes.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Sounds OK to me. I just paid 1300GBP for one 20m ash tree to be felled and taken away. The branches even high up can be very thick and unwieldy.1
