Hi everyone,

Can someone that's FB user give me some idea why my friend can't see any comments on a page?

I've had him try 3 different browsers (Firefox, Edge and Vivaldi) and on all of them all he see's in the image below.

I've tried the same page on all 3 browsers on my pc and I can see every comment (and I'm not logged in on any of them). I've had him reboot his system a few times, but nothing changes.

Can anyone shed any light on what's happening with his pc?

Thanks.

Probably just Facebook bugs... When I access Facebook via mobile website on tablet or smart phone my three lines menu has been completely non functional for months...

I've re booted, cleared cache, deleted cookies, same result, nada.

    Thanks.

    So, no fix?

Seems odd it happens on different browsers.  I can understand it being a bug on one of them, or all of the browsers based around Opera ect but for it to be the same on all of them, sort of implies it's something to do with the PC...  But that's a new system with a clean install of Windows 10. . .

Does it have any security software other than Windows Defender?
Some products (like Avast) make themselves a middle man between programs and the Internet, filtering out certain things. Sometimes that breaks websites.
Having said that, definitely can't rule out Facebook shenanigans. I can only load 3-4 comments a day on my PC here before it stops showing them (the loading wheel appears then disappears without displaying any content). I suspect it's punishing me for not having an account, but eh.

He has Avast running, but so do I and I have no problems on the same page.
I have had him switch Avast off and try again, but it dosen't help, the comments still don't load.
I don't know what else to try at this point?

Very odd... There seems no obvious reason for it. I'm running the same versions of all the  browsers, on the same version of windows 10 and I have no problem...
    Twilight Zone time!

Hmm, I mentioned Avast in particular because on my Dad's PC the Web Shield component caused all manner of problems on websites.
Have him (temporarily) disable all the Web Shield scanning functions. It's in settings - protection - core shields - web shield - untick all the boxes.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.
