Wonder how accurate that is. My local Shell garage is listed but most the time they only ever have one person on site serving behind the counter. Whos going to come out and assist you?

Back in 2017, inductive road charging was being touted as "Maybe 10 years".

If you read the article, they installed it on a 1.6km length of public road (and 700m of public road in Israel). The 200m truck test is the first phase. They're seeking permission to do multi-vehicle tests with the full length.

The next test stretch is going to be between Milan and Brescia, in Northern Italy, on the A35 Autostrada.

Why are you even interested, you're "sticking with IC to the end"?
PS the word "transfer" clearly  infers it's the rate to the vehicle.

Right and what's the efficiency going to be of such a sysem?
25% or even less?

That means that immense amounts of power will be required

I mean - something ini the order of 300KW per 30mph vehicle

So - for 1000 vehicles at 30MPH - 300MW or

 almost the full output of HinkleyA power station

Can you see what I am getting at here ?
