Wayleave

Options
We have an underground cable on our property, that comes up our wall and supplies houses on our street. We get payment from the electricity network every year for £4/£5.
The network has now sent us the option for a 15 year wayleave instead of annually with a one off payment of £150.
However, we are in the process of selling our house - the buyers have completed their searches, and we are waiting on an exchange date. I assume the wayleave details would of been in the solicitor's searches so we shouldn't accept this without informing them?

No, these things aren't registered anywhere, so if the paperwork isn't already with your title deeds (or provided by you) then it will be news to everyone. Just pass what you've got on to your solicitor.

(and if you've already completed the TA6 form - how have you answered questions 8.8 and 8.9?)
