Quick check in to report that we’ve both been paid. I had £300 extra which was either payrise+2 months backpay or payrise+2 months backpay+bonus. I’m not sure which and I won’t be able to access my payslip until next week.
Bills have gone out as well as regular saver. Not much to OP with this month as the CC is quite high and also we need to save for the house reno stuff which will now be starting in Sept. The end of June saw us keeping full spending tracker for a whole 12 months so that means when we get home from holiday we’ll be able to do a detailed breakdown. It’ll help us see where our money goes and know true averages etc.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

Home from hols, with four hours sleep last night. The kids had a brilliant time with their friends and it was so lovely to see them all happy together. Today we have marriage counselling and I have to go and visit my Dad and stay with him whilst the district nurse comes. I'm back in work tomorrow. I'm sort of dreading it, which I think is telling about where my source of stress and anxiety truly lies because I have honesty felt SO much better the last 2/3 weeks whilst I've been off sick. I'll push on though because its only two weeks until I have a fortnight annual leave booked.
We'll do the wash up on holiday spending later, the joint account is empty but I don't know how much DH has in his account.
Its 10 days until I get paid from my 2nd job, don't know what being off sick will do to that, I *think* nothing, but I can't be sure, also I worked a little extra overtime so I should get that too.

Popping in to say we’re almost at the end of our main family hol. It’s been really lovely.
We’ll be back on Monday and back in work Tuesday. Kids have both got a 4 day horse course so I have to find £500 from somewhere, probably my book money. My Dad has tested positive for Covid and he’s feeling really poorly. It’s worrying about the BoE base rate rise, energy hikes and prices in general but we’ll have to do our best to make savings. DS is eligible for the school bus from September so that’ll save about £90 a month in diesel and bus fares.
That’s all for now, stay safe moneysavers- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

Popping in to say that we are muddling along, but not really making progress.
The builder, who was due to start on 6th September, has pulled out. We are back to the drawing board. We had about 10 builders come in June and it was a nightmare getting them to quote, so I am dreading starting all over again.
I have had to hand my notice in on my 2nd job because they won't give me study leave. I can stay on as a casual and do ad hoc shifts which suit me, so its not the end of the world, but it is annoying for budgeting purposes. There is another job which I might apply for but I'm not sure I possess the right qualifications.
We're on holiday again next week, which I'm looking forward to. We've kept it a secret from them so they'll be really shocked.
Need to buy school uniforms asap.
I have been given a £20 book token and got also £2 Tesco voucher.
I've also filled in all my expenses and am owed about £220.
DH has been told he has to go to NYC for work in November.
I have the doctors today and I'm going to ask for anti-depressants.

Hope your GP appointment went well. Well done for recognising what you need and seeking help.
Hope the job and builder situation sorts itself out. Sounds stressful.
Holiday sounds exciting though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
