Thank you so much for getting back to me. I have been worried sick about this since yesterday. So you think I've nothing to be concerned about? I need not call them? What about this potential Work Based  interview. Looking back over all my award letters it has been mentioned on all of them!

As previously advised you have nothing to worry about and your partner will not need to attend any work focused interview because your ESA is entirely Contributions based. (not means tested)

The ESA you are on has an income based element and a contribution based element.

When they calculate your entitlement they first work out your maximum income based entitlement.

They then deduct other income that has to be taken into account. This leaves a figure that would be the income based ESA entitlement. If, as in your case, your contribution based entitlement is more than this you get paid the contribution based amount.

The earlier narrative is clearer. The latest one is very poorly written. However the fact remains that you have entitlement to contribution based ESA which would be £114.10 but is reduced because of your pension income. Odd that they don't tell you the working out for what they are actually paying you. I infer that your pension income is £92.54/week (£401/month).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

401 is exactly my pension amount. They are aware of this.
I am confused. So I WAS paid an iB amount in my claim? I thought my claim I recieved absolutely no IB payment at all.

No, you wweren't "paid" any Income related. It's worked out in the calculation but because you're entitled to CB then this is what you receive. You are getting confused by the income Related calculation.

Yip. I'm pretty sure I am lol. I'm so sorry. Can I check I've got this straight. With ESA all options are calculated - IB and CB. If I am awarded CB (in a support group) then I am awarded that?  Obviously it will be reflected after my pension amount etc.

You have no Income Related top ups as has been advised quite a few times. All your ESA is CB with a small deduction because your pension is more thsan £85 per week. No, you do not need to ring them.

Just to reiterate poppy and calcotti, absolutely no need to ring them.
Your partner will not have to attend an interview.
You are only in receipt of Contribution Based ESA (reduced to take account of your pension income).

Just file the DWP letter under M (for as clear as Mud), and forget it.
