Install Gas heater

Options
I have bought a gas heater, how much would be a reasonable cost to get it installed by someone?

Looking for someone in Nottingham if anyone has any contacts.

    What sort of gas heater?
A portable one doesn't need any installation.

I had a back boiler removed so the gas heater was removed with it.

Now I need a new gas heater installed.

This is the one I bought
  • Tried ringing around a few local people who have all said along the lines off " I don't fit gas fires I just do service and repairs on them👍🏻'

Servicing gas fires is definitely a nice job as there is no almost anything to 'service' there.
  • 1. If you bought it from a retailer, go back to them and ask about installation.
    2. If you bought it privately, you will have to find an installer.  The person will have to be Gas Safe Registered (GSR) to work on fires, and many GSR people are only registered for boilers and hobs.
    3. Servicing gas fires properly involves a great deal of work, including testing for spillage, ensuring artificial "coals" are the correct sort, clean, and correctly laid.  It should also include let by and tightness tests and visible inspection of flues and ventilation.  Varies with the type of fire.
    4. The cost will depend on the type of fire, the amount of work involved in its physical installation and fluing, and the provision of suitable ventilation.

Hi I have asked a few gas engineers now who have stated they only fix gas heaters not install them.

Anyone know someone who could do it for a reasonable cost?

Edit - One guy who responded who said he will charge minimum of £180 and can do it on Saturday
