    I'm not sure what else you're expecting someone to tell you?
    I don't know; that is the purpose of this thread. You shouldn't assume others don't know what you don't know.

    You could try closing your account - and then in 6 months start with a new application for the card you want. It seems it's not as though you NEED the card - it's just the card that you want. If they then say no, move on to another provider. Nobody is guaranteed anything when it comes to credit facilities - even if we think we fit the bill, and it seems nonsensical why they'd decline us.
