Anyone from Sandymoor, how is the area in general?

We are thinking about buying a house in Sandymoor, and I was wondering if there is anyone on the forum who knows the area. Seems to be full of green spaces and young families and we get overall positive feeling, however there are couple of aspects that I am trying to have more clarity on. In the new estate being developed, a 4-storey building of independent living apartments/carehomes is being built and while I do appreciate that elderlies are as much entitled to the neighbourhoods as anyone, few residents I was talking to raised alarm about this building affecting the value of the their homes. This is of course a sensitive subject however we need to consider how a potential future buyer will perceive our house when we will be moving on the ladder in few years. Secondly, does anyone know much about which a better school among the ones nearby. I can of course check the ofsted ratings and compare the school on the government website, however it would be good to know from someone with first hand experience.
