Binding contract - no scope for second thoughts?

No she hasn’t. I’ve doubled checked. She was told she had to sign on the boutique’s ipad with the understanding that we as her parents would fund it.

As a business owner being messed around like this is massively frustrating - it’s likely the supplier will hold the shop to the order even if only placed recently. 

Work with them to find a solution, but if you signed in person they hold the cards in this situation

Yes thanks. I have some empathy for the business owner. My daughter does too. It is rather odd that she was invited to sign without the deposit being produced. I guess it was to clinch the deal. For reasons unknown to me, it appears she had to sign on her iPad. This was an added pressure as she lived in a different city.

There were some good reason for her subsequent hesitation . But the long and short of it is that she should not have succumbed to the pressure -it’s not as if she had negotiated a price reduction- and she could have walked out. I just don’t want her to be disappointed that she’d made an expensive mistake, especially as it was for her big day.

We’ll see what transpires. Thank you for your advice.
