I'd suggest waiting for free wills month Free Wills Month - Your Will Helping Great Charities if your situation is simple.
If it isn't simple, I'd suggest a solicitor is a lot cheaper than leaving your beneficiaries with a nightmareIf you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -
I just need to update some surnames and addresses.0

You can leave a note of the new surnames and addresses with your will, it doesn't need to be updated just for that.
If you wanted to add / remove beneficiaries, change executors etc that's when it's better to look at a codicil or new will.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
