Hi, I am running windows 10 and using Firefox as my browser, this afternoon I tried to check something on Which but nothing happened, not able to go to their log in so did a reboot but still the same, no error messages it just starts to show its trying but quickly stops without doing where I wanted to go. Tonight I had a zoom quiz booked with a meetup group but when I tried to get to the link in meetup the same thing but it allowed me to log on here and do this post, and to go to Amazon and Facebook. Not sure what is going on, there was a message showing in the blue envelope in the bottom bar on the screen but when I opened it it wanted me to sign in to outlook so I just exited that page, dont know if thats what caused it, any ideas ?

99.9% of the time it's becuase the extensions break everything. Many people use far to many for paranoia reasons, and many sites do not work even with simple plugins. To find out if this is the case try it in safe mode (or disable all the extensions for that site). Also try edge just to see if it is your computer and not firefox. (or whatever other browsers you have installed). Not being able to log onto which sounds good though ;-) useless money grabbing nosence site!1

Even though it isn't a new location. It's a new browser profile, which is as good as a new location.I see this on the odd occasion where I've backed up a Firefox profile (either to fix an issue or to reset WIndows), copied it back afterwards and an online banking resource still wanted a OTP code from text.1

Phoned the bank to check and they are happy, while I was talking to them noticed a notification about an error on my hard drive, then later one to restart my computer which I did and now all seems ok. It is an ssd hard drive
