Our Church has a sound mixer with many inputs - mainly XLR's for radio mics and CD/usb/card.
On the mixer we have an input for an iPod - we use a wandering lead. It work's fine with my old iPad.

We had a rehearsal for a wedding last night and the couple had some music on smart phone (I think an Apple) which doesn't have a headphone output. They didn't have a conversion lead and returned today with one - it wouldn't work and got a "Not Compatible" message.
We've had this issue before but the lead that couple provided - worked fine.
Is this a modern Apple problem ?

I have one of the above items. It is an Apple product and guaranteed to be compatible with iPhones.The comments I post are my personal opinion.
