I sent a post concerning how my credit score had been impacted due to changing energy suppliers. Who took the decision to end discussion and why?
I'm a newbie did I do something wrong?

Credit score means nothing. Forget about it and move on.

Your experian/equifax/transunion score is only seen by you. A lender won't see it therefore it doesn't matter. A lender will look at your credit file and note any defaults, missed payments, electoral roll status, credit usage etc... and will do their own internal assessment and scoring. When it comes to changing suppliers they won't care in the least. They'll only care if the energy company has reported that you've missed loads of payments. Changing energy suppliers has no bearing on how you will be seen to a lender.Pegleg01 said:I sent a post concerning how my credit score had been impacted due to changing energy suppliers. I did, sorry for any confusion, but you were advised to read the sticky thread about credit scores, and what they really mean.
To be honest, threads similar to this are so very common, its very repetitive for the majority of posters to give the same answers time and time again to very similar questions.
My job is to make the forums run smoothly, and too many posts on very similar subjects just clog up the works so to speak.
Credit scores are pretty meaningless, and rise and fall at will, creditors view your credit history, not your score, they use there own internal scoring system when applying for credit, so whether it rises or falls, makes no difference whatsoever.
I hope that clarifies the situation for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Newbie or not, you posted about this topic, you had a comprehensive response to a very common question and the thread was locked, asking it again doesn't achieve anything
