Problems getting Amazon Vouchers

I took out an Amazon CC a couple of months ago with the offer of 1500 free bonus points (£15). Despite using the card Amazon havn't come up with the redemption voucher for use on the site. Has anyone else had any problems with Amazon?

They have responded to 2 emails and said they'll look into it but have not received anything for over a week.

The card you have is branded Amazon, but is run by Halifax card services. Have you called Halifax? As they should be the ones who send you the voucher.
  • Halifax Card Services was my first point of call. The responsibility for the promotion is Amazon who actually issue a gift certificate to be used on the website.

    Thanks anyway

    Hi,

The vouchers are sent via email to the address you registered with the Mastercard.
You sure your spam filter didn't block it?

Absolutely certain - I have now emailed Amazon 4 times and received exactly the same response each time. Not once have they claimed to send the voucher.

    Stock reply -

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.co.uk.

We are sorry to hear that you have not yet received your 15 GBP
    Loyalty gift certificate.

Please be aware that there is a delay of up to two weeks between the
points appearing on your statement and the gift certificate being
    sent to you.

We can confirm that you have accrued the 1500 points required for the
Loyalty gift certificate and you will receive your gift certificate
    soon.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.co.uk

Card is now almost 3 months old and was used within a week of receiving it:mad:

Do you have an Amazon account registered to shop online? If so, check whether you have been credited £15 to that account. This is usually how Amazon issue credits.

Otherwise, it is possible it has gone astray in the post. You need to contact Amazon again and tell them it has not arrived. Without casting any aspersions, an Amazon gift certificate is rather like cash in an envelope and most people I know have a tale to tell of that going missing in the post.

    Hi,

I received my gift certificate via email the day I received my postal statement.
You might want to give them a ring on 0845 850 7617.

That covers my point about how the vouchers are paid. I agree another telephone call is in order.
  • SUCCESS! Called customer services on 0800 279 6620 and finally got some response from them. 48 hours later received an email for the £15 voucher which has now been spent:D (It took some getting though!)
