I am was looking to wire the Hive thermostat, but wanted to know which 5 core cable will be suitable
Either 0.75mm or 1.00mm

0.75mm will be fine. It's all very low current stuff.Which Hive model is it? Isn't it wireless? Or are you referring to the receiver?Anyhoo, even 0.5mm would be fine.0

is it connected to standard
uk wet radiator/hot water system with has some paperwork saying its all installed (at date) to the best requirement.
Is there any warranty or contract on your system. ?

I am referring to the receiver that is connected to the combi Valliant boiler.

Even 0.5mm will be fine. But 0.75 if the choice is between that and 1mm.It should be 'flex', tho', and not solid-core.Do you have the Vaillant's instructions? If you look up the wiring section, it'll also tell you whether it should be heat-resistant cable.0
