Old house, safe paint

Hello all

We've moved into an old house and the middle bedroom has suffered in the past from a gutter leak before new gutters were fitted. Eventually it will need replastering but it is bone dry and I just want to paint over it for now.

I don't want to use paints with plastic etc as this isn't in keeping with the property and won't be good for it as it needs to stay breathable.

what type of paint just I use, it's just for temporary purposes (maybe 6 months or so). NB the damp has been checked out and there is none in this room.
