Is it possible to pay no standing charge?

At the moment I have a house in which I only use electricity and the gas is capped off.
I was wondering is it possible to have a supplier for gas that has no standing charge? So I would effectively pay nothing in the interim before I have gas installed?

Ebico used to offer a zero standing charge tariff but it was withdrawn in favour of a minimum annual charge. A simple way of checking is to enter 1kWh in a PCW and see what you get.

Neo 4 comes in at £38.25 a year.

Has the meter been removed, and have you only recently taken possession of the house?

No, there's still a meter and it's an old family home

Then you cannot avoid the standing charge unfortunately.
