Hi
I had a work place injury in 2016 and after 3 years of waiting for medical checks and so on my solicitor advised me to take there offer of 5 grand and my own medical expert who my solicitor sent me to said I would be better in a years time and that would be 2019 so I agreed that offer on there advice and now in 2021 I can hardly walk or do day to day tasks and this all stems from that injury and just getting worse with each year.
Am i able to take my solicitor to court for not getting what was right as her advice was wrong and there medical person who only spent 5 mins checking me to make up his decision. I seem to have been let down right from the start with poor advice.
thanks
Andy

You may have a case. It all depends on the detail of what was said. The solicitor is entitled to rely on the medical advice, so your case seems to be against the medic and his insurers. You should see a solicitor about this ASAP.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
One question is whether the statute of limitations would bar your claim. For medical negligence, the time limit is 3 years. But this is a claim concerning expert evidence, so you may have six years. Either way, you should see a solicitor straight away.
