GNE final bill

Make sure that you check this document carefully! On my bill, my GNE segment was split into two and calculation carried out for each part. My tariff was a FIXED tariff. Have a look at the standing charge if you have more than one calculation for GNE. I have two different standing charges for both gas and electricity. To get this remedied, you will have to contact the administrators and, hopefully, the problem will be resolved. If you do not check, it could cost you money unnecessarily.

I feel that the people in charge of looking after GNE's affairs when things went pear shaped have ripped me off. In the period from the back end of January until I received my final bill from GNE on 8th of June I believe I was misled out of between £200-£300 in credit. In February I was around £360 in credit. By the final bill date it was down to £96. I continued to pay DD payments in this period to GNE. I know my usage didn't increase during the last part of winter into early Spring...so what happened?. Does anyone know if I and others were put onto a hiked emergency tariff during this period. I feel the the administrators have clawed back as much cash from those in credit as they could. Whether EDF were complicit in this I don't know. But I'll bet they knew wholesale prices were set to rocket when they took an age to do the switch overs, probably hoping apathy for switching would set in by September and they'd make a killing.0

I'm not aware of anyone being "put on a hiked emergency tariff".What exactly does your bill say? It should show what your meter readings and payements were, on what dates; what tariffs applied; and what your closing balance was. The relationship between these numbers is transparent and can be checked easily.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

@MynameisTerri84 You need to give us far more info. Before your final bill what detail was on the previous bill bill ? Were perhaps the meter readings estimates ? What meter readings did you give GNE after it ceased trading ? Was the final bill based on estimated readings ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
