Rightmove property sale history

Hi all,
I find the property sale history on Rightmove very informative but recently there seems to be more and more properties listed with “no sale history found” - has Rightmove introduced an option for sale history to be blocked on listings? I’d understand it not being found if the property hadn’t been sold for more than 20 years but some I’ve looked at are houses built only 4 or 5 years ago. Is there another way to access sale history?

I'm ready to be corrected, but generally I don't think newbuild sales are listed anyway.

Both Rightmove and Zoopla take the info from HMLR. If it's not on HMLR I'm not sure how else you would find out that information.

Not all sales are reflected on the public LR price-paid register. You can go straight to the horse's mouth for that...

Sometimes the RM history is  for the wrong property.
More often with unusual addresses like blocks.

Follow the link under that to the postcode history

New builds that haven't been re-sold won't be on rightmove or zoopla, or any sales that weren't advertised on rightmove or zoopla. So if vendors found their own buyers for example.
  • Hi All.  If a property was sold at auction, will the sale still show up on the history of sales on a Rightmove search? Thank you :)   Also, do you know if the Rightmove history of Sale is accurate and 100% reliable?  I'm asking as my ex and I handed a house back to our lenders as we fell on hard times in 2012. We purchased the house in 2008. We have been perused for the shortfall after we were told the house was sold at auction. However I can only see our 2008 Sale and then a Sale in 2013 which was at the full value of the property that we took a mortgage out for.  It's not adding up. Any advise or insight would be appreciated.  Thank you :)
