That kind of depends on what you view as "less expensive". If want cheap then just get some Harris or Albany sleeves.purplebutterfly said:

well, if it is something to throw away after use a £7 sleeve seems expensive for a 3m x 3m wall.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0

Painting isn't my trade, so I usually get the cheaper ones from screwfix etc rather than paying around £10 for a Wooster sleeve.purplebutterfly said:@stuart45 any recommendations for good roller sleeves that don't cost the earth?

Why would you throw it away? Yes, they can be a pita to clean afterwards but if you don't want to go to the trouble then just buy the cheapest ones you can get from B&Q or the likes.purplebutterfly said:well, if it is something to throw away after use a £7 sleeve seems expensive for a 3m x 3m wall.0 -
That's what was being discussed earlier in the thread. Keep brushes but bin sleevesneilmcl said:Why would you throw it away?Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I remember the painters spending half an hour at the end of play cleaning their rollers, when we all worked on the cards, and tradesmen bought their own tools, but were paid by the hour.
For a self employed painter spending half an hour cleaning the roller sleeve, probably doesn't make economic sense.0
