Do I have to Get A New Fit Note

I have recently been moved from contribution-based ESA to full Universal Credit as I have reached the maximum 12 months allowed. I was submitting fit notes for ESA up until February which is when I had my assessment (it had been delayed due to Covid) and was advised after submitting a fit note in the same month, I  wouldn't have to submit anymore as I had my  assessment.

I was placed into the WRAG whilst on ESA and now I am in the limited capability group for Universal Credit. I have spoken to my work coach but they haven't asked me to submit any fit notes.

Do I need to start submitting them again as I'm no longer on ESA? I'm getting very worried as it's now been a number of months since I've requested one and not sure whether the GP will do it  even though I am still on high dosages of medication for anxiety and depression.

Given that you have already been assessed as having LCW I would not expect you to have to provide Fit Notes. Your LCW status should be recognised by UC.

You can always send a journal message to your work coach saying that you understand that, as you have already been assessed as having LCW by ESA, UC will treat you in the same way and that you are not required to supply Fit Notes and ask them to confirm.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
