Avro Energy Gas meter problem
I'm currently with Avro on the Simple & mFix 12m which ends 20th July. Until this week everything has been uneventful which is just how I like it.
Two days ago I went outside as usual to read my gas meter to submit a reading and found that the meter was no longer displaying gas usage. I pressed
both A & B buttons but nothing. I checked our neighbours and that worked perfectly fine. Our boiler is still working so we still have gas coming into the house.
I tried to call Avro with no luck, I tried to email and although only the third day I've had no reply, I tried messaging them via faceache but as yet nothing.
I suppose my concern/question is this
Do I need to contact anyone else other than my current provider? As my deal ends in a month and I'm looking to move supplier who is responsible for supplying a working
meter? Lastly, I'm hoping that my gas usage is being accurately recorded even though my meter doesn't display the usage?
Thanks in advance
David

If your meter looks like a white small breeze block then it will be an ultrasonic inferential meter.Meters are owned by MAMs ,meter asset managers.Gas suppliers "rent" meters from MAMsSome gas suppliers are also MAMs.You must communicate with Avro to tell them the meter is not working. You could photograph the meter and send them a letter including the photo by recorded delivery. As a first step, if they dont get back to you soon engage the official complaints procedure. Its important that you state that you wish to make a complaint.Anything else is just heresayFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
