Allay and crs PPI fiasco

Options
No.3 of my misery trilogy. We grudgingly engaged Allay to check for any old PPI etc (Yes, that long ago) and after using many other companies just to get them off my case, Allay actually found one which in essence they won, two years ago or more. It was with HSBC who have dragged their heels and been as obstructive as possible in paying up while Allay have been bombarding me with demands for their fee despite me not yet receiving the payout as they well know. However tonight I received a text from them telling me they have passed the "debt" to the notorious crs debt recovery agency which has made me very angry as technically Allay have won yet HSBC haven't paid out still and if they don't, I'll still have to pay. What a bloody scam , fully backed up by the law. Deffo a bad day, time for lager.

They dont have a leg to stand on.

Make a formal complaint to them ASAP. Do it quickly as Allay have applied to end their authorisations with the FCA.  They are still authorised and whilst they are, you get access to the FOS.       State you are happy to pay their fee when it becomes due.  However, as HSBC have not paid anything to you, they are not due their fees.

Do not ignore any court documents, if they arrive (you may just get threats of court rather than actually them serving documents).   This is a pretty easy case to defend.
