Hi
DH started a new job in January.
All his payslips up until the 29/3 had the tax code 904L W1.
Having looked on the Gov website it seems that he has been emergency taxed, yet he has heard nothing from HMRC regarding any type of rebate or indeed to say he hasn't paid enough.
Should he get in contact to find out what's happened/ing?
His payslips since the 1st week in April now appear to have the correct code.
TIA 😊

If he has paid too much tax then he will hear from HMRC later this summer.
But I suspect it is more likely that he owed tax and that was why he had a non standard tax code. Did he get paid by his old employer and new employer in the same tax period?

Thanks for the reply. He left a job in November and started new job December was paid one month (on emergency tax) and was laid off in January due to lockdown, and then got another job a week later. So 3 different employers in as many months.0 -
Have you got his P45's and P60 from the latest employer?
If so post the total taxable pay and tax deducted and it should be possible to check what refund is likely to be due.0
