E10 Petrol from September 2021
Only found out about this today. Went on the Govt car checker site and still not sure if it will impact on my OH's car. This is what it says:
He has a 2005 C180 Kompressor, which although I think is classed as a W203 model is not mentioned above.
Just wondered if anyone knows.
Mercedes-Benz
E10 petrol is cleared for use in the vast majority of all Mercedes Benz vehicles with petrol engines, except:
- First generation direct injection C200 CGI (W203), CLK 200 CGI series (C209) of the years 2002 – 2005;
He has a 2005 C180 Kompressor, which although I think is classed as a W203 model is not mentioned above.
Just wondered if anyone knows.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:

It is cleared for use in the C180 according to the information you've posted, as it's not a C200.💙💛 💔2

This is a W203 C-class.
His is a C180K.
The C200CGI is the only one not E10-approved.
C180K and C200CGI use different engines.
His is fine.1 -
Thank you so much for the reassurance, greatly appreciated.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

I called at a Sainsbury's petrol Station and the pump said E10 - when I asked the question I was told that they were simply labelling all the pumps in advance of its introduction in ***September.*** I suspect that Morrison's are doing the same thing.

Petrol with 5% ethanol in is both E5 and E10, because 5% is both up to 5% and up to 10%. It's also E85 (up to 85%) and E100 (up to 100%).0
