We have just bought a property in Spain and are planning on driving through the tunnel in France to northern Spain to see the property as we haven't even seen it yet!. My husband and I are vaccinated with both doses, however my 2 stepsons of age 17 are not. Would we be able to go through France with them?

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirementsThe UK is currently on the French amber list. If travelling to France from a country on the amber list, those who are not fully vaccinated will only be permitted to travel for essential reasons (from the list specified for this category of country). Those who are not fully vaccinated will also need to present the following documents: .................... 1

Reading further down the page posted by Sheramber it says “Children under the age of 18 years old, who are travelling with fully vaccinated adults, will be exempt from requirements to self-isolate and provide an essential reason for travel, regardless of whether the minor has been vaccinated or not.”
Regardless of vaccination status as things currently stand - you would all need to comply with the UK quarantine rules on your return ( negative test before you return, 10 days quarantine, PCR test on DAY 2&8 - which you pay for ).
Things could change by the time that you travel.0

Whether they will accept "just going to see our new place" as essential travel for 4 people is another matter
1 could go and do a video walkthrough to minimise people travelling
As above - the situation is very fluid anyway0

According to the link posted above for travel to France as the adults are vaccinated they do not need to provide a reason for travel and the >18 travelling with them are also exempt from the requirement to provide a reason for travel . The adults just have to provide suitable proof of their vaccination status.JamoLew said:Whether they will accept "just going to see our new place" as essential travel for 4 people is another matter
