You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
Thanks,
I had no doubt they were a bunch of shafters, I will email my MP now although I'm not sure how he can help on an individual case...:eek: Money is the route of all evil, save yourselves and send yours to me :rotfl::j:rotfl:1 -
I think that's a fairly typical template-based response from them. No need to engage AFAIK.Jenni x2

MPs can help by contacting the parking firm to support your complaint and (separately) to ask the DLUHC what they are doing to ensure delivery drivers (including taxis, couriers, small enterprises like yours, etc.) stopping to drop people or items off at shops and homes are not penalised in the new Code of Practice?Dumplin said:Thanks,

That will then raise your case as an example with the Government who are preparing the new Code, which also has to get the approval of MPs next year before it passes.
EXAMPLES OF THE MORE ROGUE PRACTICES RIGHT NOW ARE VITAL AS THE NEW MINISTERS GET UP TO SPEED WITH THIS PROJECT.
Tell your MP this is what you want them to raise now, and to check that it is covered in the new Code in 2022 when it is laid before the House by the DLUHC's Mr Gove, because it is a farce at present that ex clampers are holding delivery drivers and taxi drivers, couriers etc. to ransom instead of exempting that activity as part of the new law. Absolutely shocking rogue practice not to allow a period of time for people to fetch permits, or deliver or collect an item without threat or monetary demands.
Do this by email so you can use this trail of comms with your MP as evidence if you get a claim. You would win. You also had a verbal agreement "don't worry you'll be OK, you are delivering" from the shop owner and evidence of the cake in the footwell and you should print/embed the date/time from metadata of that photo into it.
Tell Gladstones that you have evidence of the item delivered that day and will be complaining to your MP and will ask him/her to use your case as an example for the DLUHC immediately, as it is appalling rogue practice not to exempt deliveries to shops.
Neither Gs nor UKCPM will like the thought of your MP using your case as an example to the DLUHC, believe us! Hence please state exactly what I've suggested.
Finish by asking Gs what ADR is available, if UKCPM are not prepared to cancel this as the dispute has now reached impasse, despite them knowing their photos were only taken over 2 minutes flat and they didn't even have time to issue a PCN on the windscreen which is predatory practice by a ticketer who clearly lurked/hid, watched the delivery and took distance photos.
(there is a good reason to ask for ADR. You want them to say it's too late...).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Dumplin another one of your threads left dangling. Update please? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
