Patio doors £4k

Options
Is £4K a reasonable quote in the south east to widen an existing opening (window), install a steel lintel and high quality upvc sliding patio doors?

    Sounds a bit too cheap.

    Structural engineer? Building control fees?

What are the doors made from?  How wide an opening?

Maybe.  I still think it's a bit cheap.  There's a lot of making good to be dine, inside and out.

Struggling to see the value in a sliding door with a maximum of a 90cm opening.  Why not french doors?

Small patio area means table/seating outside would be in the way of french doors opening
