Hi there,
Can anyone tell me what a reasonable price is for a cold water tank replacement. It's large house so needs a larger than normal tank.
These are the prices i've been given? is this reasonable it's more than i was expecting?

It’s a bit difficult to say without seeing it. The first place I’ve googled has a 1000litre tank at £475 - a trade price may be less.
After that, is it a straight replacement? Do the joists need strengthening to take the weight? Does it need a frame to support it? Etc.
£900 to fit sounds a bit top heavy, but materials prices and Tradesman availability are crazy at the moment.0 -
Seems expensive but is the existing water tank metal or asbestos cement ? Are they removing the old water tank and disposing of it ?
