PPI certificates

Isnt it just a tad complicated claiming your tax back on a R40 for PPi !
I thought I would submit the R40 and give it a go, after a few months and a complaint to HRMC I get a very nice lady actually tell me what I need to progress my re-claim, there's a certificate that should have winged its way to the claiment (me and the Mrs), to identify the threee elements HRMC need to calculate the redress, Gross Amount/Tax Paid/Net Amount.
Having over 20 claims, some joint and some not and no "certifiacte" I'm having to ask the claims company for this information 3 yrs post.
Warning to all, its not so simple to get your cash back, I'm just hoping the claims company play ball or I am up the creek without a paddle on this.

The claims company won't care. They also probably won't know.
    .
There are no "certificates", but the lenders will have sent a breakdown with details of the redress settlement. You could try asking them if you've lost the original correspondence.

    Not really.

Certificate is probably the wrong word.  In the complaint outcome telling you the amounts being paid, it breaks it down into redress and interest (and if tax is deducted, how much).  It is not a certificate. It is in letter form.

    Good luck with that.

Just use the letters with complaint outcomes showing the amounts.
